I assume you found a host family and you are here already.. So, what state are you in? What's your host family like?

We live in a 7-bedroom house (including the au pair suite) with two acres of land, a tennis court, heated in-ground swimming pool, a swing set, a trampoline and a gazebo. Inside we have a family room, billiard room, a library, a dining room and a sunroom.
The au pair room is in the finished basement. It has built-in drawers, cabinets and shelves and it has a bathroom with a shower and a little refrigerator and a microwave and a bistro table and two chairs. It has a cable TV with built-in CD/DVD player.
Our house is located in Fairfield, Connecticut. A large family community, Fairfield has two universities, Fairfield University and Sacred Heart University. There are a number of other colleges in neighboring towns. It is a little over an hour to New York City and thirty minutes to New Haven.
We usually take a few trips each year and would invite our au pair to join us. We haven’t planned our trips yet for this year, but most years we go to either Florida, California and/or Colorado.
